Welcome to Bobcat Music Camp!

Renowned Bay Area jazz artist, certified Orff Schulwerk Music Instructor and K-8 Music Teacher at Presidio Hill School in San Francsico, Joshi Marshall, leads a music camp for kids ages 7-16. At Bobcat Music Camp (BMC), Joshi and a team of professional musicians and educators will form and work with bands of varying skill levels. Campers will learn and perform selections from World Beat, Latin, Jazz, and Rock genres.

At BMC campers will have the opportunity to improve performance skills, build self-confidence, learn valuable team building lessons, interact with other musicians, grow as artists, and most importantly, have fun!

Some of BMC’s activities:

Play in a band – campers will spend most of the day playing in a band with their peers.

Drum circles – teaches kids cooperation, promotes core-strength, helps with gross and fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Body Percussion – teaches kids rhythm, increases their ability to focus and gets them moving!

Beat Boxing – teaches kids timing and rhythm, breath control, strengthens their vocal cords, improves their aural skills and helps them with improvisation.

Each camp session will culminate in a concert for friends and family.

BMC welcomes musicians of all skill levels!
